Wow, this is a dead newsgroup if ever I saw one.

Anyone happen to have any idea what's likely to be on the setlist for
the Priest support slot? I would imagine some classics and 2 or 3 off
Unbreakable ... what are the Scorps going to get, about an hour maybe?

Personally, I'd split the evening equally between the two bands.

Personally Angus I would switch the acts around and have a full set by the
Scorps! I still can't believe the Scorpions are supporting Priest. In
saying that though I believe the ticket sales for the NEC have been very
slow, so neither band seem to have stirred much interest around the Midlands
which is the traditional home of hard rock I suppose.

I'd rather see the Scorps headlining, but I guess they've been pretty
absent over here for a long time. Hopefully they'll be back soon with a
proper tour.

Even posts on the Priest ng are complaining how loud the headliners
are, and all seem to have enjoyed our boys' set!

The set-list, btw, has been posted on www.the-scorpions.com on one of
the forums if you haven't seen it. No surprises (except lack of Wind Of
Change :) and only one off the new album.

Surprising that NEC tix aren't going ... Priest's home town and that.

No Wind of Change?!?!? Hot damn, that's great. I think many people are
very, very tired of that song. I can't stand it. Only one off the new
album is dissapointing, but not suprising.

I've no idea just how many tickets are left but yesterday the availability
on the NEC box office site was 'good'. I just checked again and there are
seats in Blocks 3 & 4 available which is surprising this close to the show.
When Rush tix went on sale these blocks went in hours rather than days.

Hopefully I'll post to this ng on return from the gig or more likely Sunday
morning with my thoughts. Thing is though I'm having probs posting at the
moment none of my new topics seem to show.
